Orange table covers were used for the dining tables...the blue chairs went perfectly with the decor!
The table decor included fish bowls with fish inside and laminated Finding Nemo activity sheets that were found on the internet which made perfect placemats
This is the special cake table, complete with an awesome Finding Nemo cake, cake pops (made by us) and hand wrapped customized Hershey's bars. The personalized banner was ordered on Birthday Express
This beautiful cake was made by our long time, incredible cake lady Ms.Susie (from Susie's Scrumptious Sweets). She can design whatever cake you have in mind and the taste is even better! The awesome scene setter made it look like were were really under water.
This was our Cookies n Cake table. The spotlight was on this cupcake tower. The cupcakes were homemade (by us)...coconut and red velvet. The cake toppers were created by me and consisted of quotes from the movie and a couple of pics of the birthday boy.
Here we have all desserts made by us...the one to the left were cake sushi rolls, to the right we have star shaped cookies covered with graham crackers and melted chocolate, and above are the clam cookies (made with vanilla wafers)
In the front here we have rice krispies treats and in the back corner we made lollipops out of candy melts in the shape of sea animals and in front of them are Oreo pops also dipped in colored candy melts. These were a hit!
The "Snack Shack" was our appetizer table: here we have Shrimp "cocktails", chips and salsa, and Goldfish in cups
We had fun putting these bags together. The stickers were customized by me with the birthday boy's face on them
These Oreo suckers were something neat that I found on another blog site and thought that they would add a creative flair. They were fun to make!
The inspiration for this theme came from watching this cute infamous movie with my son when he was 20 months old. I was looking for a theme for his second birthday that was unique and different so I decided to go with it. It also helped that my son loves water...so what better place to have it than at a water park! We held the celebration at the local water park not too far from my house and despite Florida's bipolar weather, everyone had a great time. My focus was on the colors orange and turquoise based on other blogs that I've seen of people who also did a Finding Nemo party when the movie was popular. Although it was a nightmare looking for Finding Nemo items I still managed to search the internet high and low and found a lot of things. The rest was an overall Under the Sea atmosphere. We transformed the training room of the water park into an underwater oasis.
